§ 6. GOVERNING BOARD.
   The powers of the town shall be vested in a board of commissioners of five (5) members and a mayor nominated and elected from the town at large in the manner hereinafter provided. The term of office for the board of commissioners shall be staggered and for a length of four (4) years to start in 2009. The two (2) officials with the highest amount of votes shall serve for four (4) years with terms ending in 2013. The next three (3) officials shall serve two (2) year terms until 2011. After the 2011 election these seats will be elected for a period of four (4) years with terms ending in 2015. The Mayor of the Town of Ranlo shall be elected to a four (4) year term beginning in 2009 and ending in 2013. Vacancy in office of mayor or commissioner shall be filled by the board of commissioners for the unexpired term. The mayor and each member of the board of commissioners shall receive such salary as prescribed by ordinance.
