§ 33.031 CAPTAIN IN CHARGE.
   (A)   The Captain of Police shall have charge of the Sergeant and patrol officers assigned to duty under him or her and shall instruct and assist them in their duties and shall be responsible for their general appearance, good order, and discipline, and for the proper carrying out and performance of the duties and responsibilities assigned to his or her subordinates.
   (B)   The Captain of Police shall report any matters and things to the Chief as required and as shall in his or her discretion be in the best interest of the Department and good law enforcement, and shall report, in writing, to the Chief any matters he or she should know or have knowledge of for the proper management of the Department, or to provide for proper law enforcement in the town.
