§ 53.12 PERMIT FOR GENERATOR.
   No consumer of the city electrical system shall connect or interface a standby electrical generator or freestanding generator into the city electrical distribution system without obtaining a permit from the Electrical Department executed by the Electrical Superintendent. The Electrical Superintendent shall not execute the said permit unless the consumer has proven to him or her that the connection of said generator meets all of the safety requirements and will not allow feedback of any electricity into the city electrical system and will specifically provide that said individual and/or privately-owned generator will have a double throw switch to provide a break before the same makes contact with the city electrical system.
