(A) The Treasurer shall keep all moneys in the Treasurer’s hands belonging to the village separate and distinct from the Treasurer’s own money, and the Treasurer shall not use, either directly or indirectly, the village moneys or warrants in the Treasurer’s custody and keeping for the Treasurer’s own use and benefit or that of any other person.
(B) Any violation of this section shall subject the Treasurer to removal from office by the Village Board.
