(A) Brakes. Every bicycle when operated upon the streets or public ways shall be equipped with a brake adequate to control the movement of and to stop the bicycle when necessary.
(B) Lamps and reflectors on bicycles. During the period from sunset to sunrise every bicycle shall be equipped with a lamp on the front exhibiting a white light visible from a distance of at least 500 feet to the front, and with a lamp on the rear exhibiting a red light visible from a distance of 500 feet to the rear, except that a red reflector not less than one and one-half inches in diameter may be used instead of a rear light.
(C) Audible signal. No person shall ride a bicycle unless it is equipped with a bell or other device capable of giving a signal audible for a distance of at least 100 feet; except that no bicycle shall be equipped with, nor shall any person use upon a bicycle, any siren or whistle.
