Whenever traffic is regulated by the type of signal commonly known as a stop and go signal or traffic control signal the following colors shall indicate the following:
(A) Red or stop. Requires that the traffic faced by this color shall stop and remain standing;
(B) Green. Vehicular traffic facing the signal may proceed straight through or turn right or left unless a sign in a place prohibits either turn. But vehicular traffic shall yield the right-of-way to other vehicles and to pedestrians lawfully within the intersection or an adjacent crosswalk at the time the signal is exhibited;
(C) Amber or yellow or caution. Indicates preparation for a change in direction of traffic movement;
(D) Red lens illuminated by rapid intermittent flashes. Drivers of vehicles shall stop before entering the intersection; and
(E) Yellow lens illuminated with rapid intermittent flashes. Drivers of vehicles may proceed into the intersection only with extra caution.
