§ 52.082 BACKFLOW PREVENTION DEVICES.
   (A)   All backflow prevention devices or methods required by these rules and regulations shall be approved by the Research Foundation for Cross Connection Control of the University of Southern California, American Water Works Association, American Society of Sanitary Engineering or American National Standards Institute or certified by the National Sanitation Foundation to be in compliance with applicable industry specification.
   (B)   Installation of approved devices shall be made in accordance with 35 Ill. Adm. Code § 653.802, and only as specified by the Research Foundation for Cross Connection Control of the University of Southern California or applicable industry specifications. Maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer of the device shall be performed. Manufacturer’s maintenance manual shall be available on site. Devices must be installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions, as installation is an integral part of the testing procedures required for approved standards by all national agencies.
