§ 52.040 TERMINATION OF SERVICE.
   In the event a water bill shall remain unpaid when due, the Director of Utilities and Engineering may terminate or cause to be terminated service to the consumer at the premises involved or to any other premises to which the consumer at the premises involved or to any other premises to which the consumer shall move. Prior to suspending service, however, the Director of Utilities and Engineering shall give notice to the consumer prior to termination of the proposed termination of a procedure for challenging the termination as unjustified. The Director of Utilities and Engineering shall establish a procedure whereby the consumer has an opportunity to present his or her complaint or dispute for review and resolution before the Director of Utilities and Engineering or some other party designated by the Director of Utilities and Engineering to review dispute bills and to rectify errors. The notice required by this section may include ordinary mail in the same manner as water bills are normally sent by the city.
