§ 161.19 SIGNS.
   All regulatory and advisory signs, including posts, shall be provided, installed and maintained by the city. The city shall provide and install street name signs and posts at the developer's expense. The developer is responsible for installation of all hazard indicating signage and posts. After the initial installation, the city shall assume responsibility and maintenance of all signs and posts. Signs for private streets shall be installed and maintained by the owner or property owners within the subdivision. The owner of a subdivision with private streets shall install a sign in substantially the following form: PRIVATE MAINTENANCE BEGINS. All signs and posts shall comply with the latest edition of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways.
