(A) Money or currency, excepting rare coins or coins or currency with numismatic value, as determined by the town’s Police Department, which is received or in the custody of the town’s Police Department shall be retained for a period of 90 days and then shall be deposited in the General Fund of the Town Finance Director in the event an owner or finder, after written notice as set forth in § 95.10 of this chapter, does not claim or reclaim possession of such money or currency.
(B) Rare coins or coins and currency with numismatic value shall be disposed of in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
