(A) Whenever the Mayor and Town Council determine that an emergency exists due to the threat or danger of fire within the town, the Mayor may, by proclamation, make such orders and regulations as are deemed appropriate, up to and including the prohibition of any and all types of fires and burning including smoking. The proclamation shall be posted in at least three public places within 24 hours after the Mayor signs such proclamation. Any person violating the terms of the proclamation shall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished as provided in § 10.99 of this code of ordinances.
(B) This is the reason permits are only good for the day of issuance.
