The Town Attorney, or his or her duly-designated assistant, may be the Prosecuting Officer of the Court. He or she may also prosecute all alleged violations of the ordinances of the town. He or she shall be authorized, in his or her discretion, to prosecute and resist appeal proceedings in error and review from the Municipal Court to any other court of the state, and to represent the town in all proceedings arising out of matters in the Court.
