§ 132.01 PETIT LARCENY.
   PETIT LARCENY is the taking of personal property of a value not exceeding $500 which is accomplished by fraud or stealth and with the intent to deprive another thereof, but it does not include the taking of such property from the “person” of another. Petit larceny is unlawful.
