A person to whom a notice is directed or his or her duly-authorized agent may file a written request for hearing before the Town Board of Trustees within the ten-day period of compliance for the purpose of defending the charges by the town. The hearing shall be held as soon as is practicable after the filing of the request, and all persons to whom a notice is directed shall be advised of the time and place of the hearing. At any such hearing, the town and any person to whom a notice has been directed may introduce such witnesses and evidence as either party deems necessary.
