For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definition applies unless the context clearly requires a different meaning.
ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE or ATV. A vehicle, whether utility vehicle, all-terrain vehicle or golf cart, which is powered by an internal combustion engine or an electric-type of engine which is manufactured and used for the purpose of travel on or off roadways, and which may or may not be otherwise street legal as defined by state statues. Said ATV shall include, but not be limited to, three- or four-wheel vehicles either with bucket or bench seats for the driver and passengers and a steering wheel or other direction-control device.
