§ 50.21 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   DISPOSAL.
      (1)   To discharge, deposit, inject, dump, spill, leak or place any hazardous waste into or on any land or water.
      (2)   Such term shall not include temporary storage on the premises where such hazardous waste is first created in a manufacturing process. Reprocessing or stablization of hazardous waste shall not constitute a manufacturing process.
   HAZARDOUS WASTE.
      (1)   A solid or liquid waste, or combination of solid or liquid wastes, which because of its quantity, concentration or physical, chemical or infectious characteristics may:
         (a)   Cause, or significantly contribute to an increase in mortality or an increase in serious irreversible, or incapacitating reversible, illness; or
         (b)   Pose a substantial present or potential hazard to human health or the environment when improperly treated, stored, transported, or disposed of, or otherwise managed.
      (2)   Said term shall include all materials determined to constitute hazardous waste by the United States Environmental Management Board, but shall not include pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers used in the conduct of farming or agricultural pursuits.
