(a) Quantity.
(1) Every commercial building which is built, relocated or expanded more than fifty percent in floor area, shall provide an off-street loading berth or berths in accordance with the following schedule:

(2) Exceptions to the above requirements are that buildings used primarily for manufacturing, repairing, wholesaling, trucking or warehousing operations shall provide such berths as follows:

(b) Rules.
(1) Each loading berth shall be easily accessible from a street or alley and its use shall not cause substantial interference with traffic.
(2) All required loading berths shall be on the same lot as the building served.
(3) No loading berth shall be located in a required front or side yard.
(4) All loading berths shall be open to the sky. (Ord. 540-89. Passed 2-14-89.)
(5) Each loading berth shall be a minimum of twelve feet in width and a minimum of sixty-five feet in length.
