1260.02  COMPLIANCE REQUIRED.
   (a)   No building or structure shall be erected, converted, enlarged, reconstructed, moved or structurally altered, nor shall any building or land be used, except for a purpose permitted, as herein established, for the district in which the building or land is located.
   (b)   No building or structure shall be erected, converted, enlarged, reconstructed, moved, or structurally altered to exceed the height and bulk limits as herein established for the district in which the building is located, except that parapet walls, chimneys, steeples, bell towers, cooling towers, elevator bulkheads, fire towers, stacks, stage towers, scenery lofts, or similar projections and necessary mechanical appurtenances shall be permitted to exceed by no more than ten feet, the maximum height provision when erected in accordance with all other laws of the Village.
   (c)   No building or structure shall be erected, converted, enlarged, reconstructed, moved or structurally altered except in conformity with the yard and lot area regulations as herein established for the district in which the building is located.
   (d)   The minimum yard space, parking space, and other open space including lot area per family, as herein established for any building hereafter erected, converted, enlarged, reconstructed, moved, or structurally altered, shall not be encroached upon or considered as parking yard, open space, or lot area requirement for any other building, nor shall any lot be reduced below the requirements as herein established for the district in which the lot is located.
   (e)   Every building hereafter erected or structurally altered shall be located on a lot as herein defined and in no case shall there be more than one main building on one lot except as specifically provided hereinafter.
   (f)   Two or more parcels, lots of record or platted lots, when contiguous and when held in common ownership, may be treated together as a single lot for purposes of the zoning code provided such lots are located in the same district.
