1290.07  RESTORATION OF DAMAGED BUILDINGS.
   A nonconforming building or structure, which is damaged or partially destroyed by fire, flood, wind, earthquake, or other calamity, or the public enemy, may be restored to its original configuration and the same use and occupancy continued or resumed, provided that such restoration is started within a period of one year and it is diligently pursued to completion.  If construction has not started within one year from the time of disaster, then the building(s) shall conform to the district regulations in which located and the use shall thereafter be in conformance with the district regulations.
