The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to an owner of any product of his or her own raising; to the manufacturer of any articles or products manufactured by him or her, who, by himself or herself or his or her agent, peddles or vends any such articles or products; to any person who, by State or Federal law or constitutional provision, has been exempted from obtaining such license; or to any sale at wholesale to a retail dealer.
