(a) The operator of a taxicab shall not stop, stand, park, and/or load or unload passengers or their baggage from the taxicab on Catawba Avenue, from its intersection with Bayview Avenue (State Route 357) to a point 380 feet southerly on Catawba Avenue, from the Thursday before Victoria Day weekend through October 11 of each year.
(b) The operator of a taxicab shall not stop, stand, park, and/or load or unload passengers or their baggage from the taxicab at any place where signs prohibit such stopping, standing, parking, and/or loading or unloading.
(c) Whoever violates this section in guilty of a minor misdemeanor on the first offense; on a second offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree; on each subsequent offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
