1040.03 BACKFLOW PREVENTION DEVICES.
   If, in the judgment of the Village Administrator, an approved backflow prevention device is necessary for the safety of the public water system, the Village Administrator shall give notice to the water consumer to install such an approved device immediately. The water consumer shall, at his or her own expense, install such an approved device at a location and in a manner approved by the Village Administrator. Water consumer shall be required to have licensed plumber thoroughly inspect and operationally test the backflow prevention device at the time of the installation, at the time of any repairs to the backflow prevention device, and once yearly between April 1 and September 30. Copies of the certified inspections and backflow tests results shall be submitted to the Village within thirty days of the inspection and test.
