866.25 SUSPENSION BY MAYOR.
   (a)   When, in the discretion of the Mayor, a taxicab driver presents an immediate danger to the health, safety, or welfare of the citizens of the Village, the Mayor may immediately suspend the license of such person.
   (b)   When a driver is notified of such suspension, he or she shall surrender his license and identification card to the Mayor, the Fiscal Officer, or the Chief of Police.
   (c)   Pending a decision by the Mayor, the Fiscal Officer may impose a temporary suspension for a period not to exceed 24 hours. This temporary suspension shall not be extended by the Fiscal Officer.
   (d)   A driver shall have the right of appeal to the Council of any such suspension. A hearing will be held within five working days from the date of receipt of the written request for a hearing.
