§ 152.03  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   Every house, residence, apartment, or business within the boundaries of the county shall have numbers identifying the location. These numbers are herein referred to as street address numbers for all structures subject to this subchapter.
   (B)   (1)   All street address numbers shall be a minimum of three and one-half feet above the ground, sidewalk, driveway, or any other surface reasonably presumed to be a reference point, and not obstructed by shrubs or bushes so that they may be viewed from the street by public safety vehicles or persons. In the event the residence or structure is located on a private drive or roadway, and is set back well away from the public roadway, then the numbers should be placed upon a mailbox, or any permanent sign or post so that it can be viewed from vehicles located on the public right-of-way. Also, the numbers should be posted on both sides of said mailbox, or post or sign, so that the public vehicle can see them coming from either direction on the public right-of-way (numbers should include all of the official street address, for example, “555 W 100 S” or “666 Jones Lane”; although the United States Post Office only requires a rural mailbox to have an address on one side, that is not sufficient for public safety and the street addresses should be posted so that they are shown on both sides of any mailbox or sign).
      (2)   If you do not have a mailbox in front of the structure, you must display your address with at least three-inch high letters on a post in front of your property, and/or on the house or business, that will identify your drive to the home or business.
      (3)   In short, please place your new numbers on your house and mailbox, or on a signpost at the end of your drive if your mailbox is not in front of your home, so that the address can be clearly visible from the roadway.
   (C)   All street address numbers shall be of a color which, when viewed from the street in a vehicle, can be easily seen. It shall be required that the numbers are to be of a color contrasting, or nearly contrasting, with the background surface color upon which they are mounted so that they can be easily seen both in the daytime and at night.
   (D)   There shall be no obstruction to preclude the street address numbers from being seen from the street.
   (E)   All street address numbers shall be a minimum of at least one inch high, and recommended three inches in height, and at least one and one-half inches in width.
