(A) Any animal which bites a person shall be seized by the Animal Control Officer or owner, and quarantined under the Animal Control Officer’s supervision either at the animal shelter, if the owner agrees to pay boarding, or at the owner’s residence, if the owner properly reclaims the animal and provides adequate assurance to the Animal Control Officer that a proper quarantine will be maintained for a minimum of ten days.
(B) Any quarantined animal which is then reclaimed by its owner shall be reclaimed under the provisions of § 91.04.
(C) If any pathological examination of an animal is required as a result of quarantine, the owner shall be responsible for any expense which may be recovered by any means, including litigation.
