(A) Unrestrained animals, animals causing a public nuisance, and abandoned or neglected animals may be seized by the Animal Control Officer, or any other law enforcement officer, within the county.
(B) Seized animals shall be impounded by the Animal Control Officer and held for the approved time at the animal shelter.
(C) When seized animals are identified by current dog license tag or any other method, the Animal Control Officer shall attempt to contact the owner to permit reclaiming of the animal. Seized animals which are not identified shall be held until reclaimed or abandoned.
