It shall be the policy of the town to purchase supplies, equipment and services at the least cost possible under the circumstances. The town, its elected officials, and staff shall take all actions reasonable to ensure the safe-guarding of all funds entrusted to the town. Where possible competitive bidding will be used in this process. Due to the nature of the small staff available to the town, the requirement of public competitive purchasing shall be balanced against the size of the procurement, and the personnel available to accomplish that competitive bid. The end goal shall always be, the best interest of the citizens of the town.
