§ 32.076  FAILURE TO OBEY JURY SUMMONS.
   (A)   If any juror, duly summoned, shall neglect or refuse to appear in obedience to any venire issued by the Municipal Court and shall not within 48 hours render to the Judge holding court and issuing the venire, a sufficient reason for his or her delinquency, he or she shall forfeit and pay a discretionary fine of $10 to the treasury of the town, to be assessed by the Judge holding the court and collected on his or her warrant without other process.
   (B)   A failure to pay forthwith the fine so assessed shall constitute a contempt of court and be punished accordingly.
