§ 32.045  EXECUTION OF SHERIFF TO COLLECT FINES.
   (A)   Whenever the Mayor or Municipal Judge shall find the tried before him or her guilty of violating an ordinance of the town, he or she may impose, in his or her discretion, a fine or imprisonment in the alternative, not to exceed the limits prescribed for the violation by the ordinances of the town and not to exceed a fine in the sum of $200 or imprisonment for not more than 30 days; provided that, the ordinances, rules, bylaws or regulations be not contrary to the laws of the state.
   (B)   The Mayor or Municipal Judge may issue execution to the Sheriff of the county for the collection of all fines imposed by them.
