§ 130.052  OBTAINING PROPERTY UNDER FALSE TOKENS OR LETTERS.
   Whoever shall falsely and deceitfully obtain or get into his or her hands or possession any money, goods, chattels, jewels or other things of any other person by color and means of any false token or counterfeit letter made in any other person’s name shall, upon conviction thereof, suffer the imprisonment as the court may adjudge; provided that, when the money, goods, chattels and other things so obtained do not exceed in value $1,000, then the offense shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $500 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 30 days.
