(A) It shall be unlawful for any person under arrest in the custody of a regular or special police officer of the town or in the custody of the Municipal Court, or on the work crew of the town, to make his or her escape therefrom, or to attempt to escape therefrom in any manner.
(B) It shall likewise be unlawful for any person to aid or assist any person under arrest or in confinement to make his or her escape.
