It shall be the duty of the Committee on Streets to visit as often as possible all streets, lanes, alleys, bridges and all places that require the attention of the town authorities, and to report to the Town Council all grievances and nuisances which may come under their observation; and, likewise, all defects in drains, streets, sidewalks or bridges and the like, which in their judgement requires repairs, and to see that all employees in their departments are discharging their duties faithfully, and that all streets, drains, gullies and the like are kept clean and in a sanitary condition.
