§ 70.03  JURISDICTION OF MUNICIPAL COURT.
   The Municipal Court may try and determine criminal cases involving violations of the provisions of this title or provisions of the South Carolina Code of Laws relating to motor vehicles and traffic occurring within the limits of the town when the penalty prescribed by state law of the violation does not exceed 30 days imprisonment or $500.  The Municipal Court may have trial jurisdiction over such criminal cases the same as magistrates.
