To the extent authorized by law, the local liquor control commissioner may enter or authorize any law enforcement officer to enter at any time upon any premises licensed under this chapter to determine whether any of the provisions of the liquor control act (235 ILCS 5/1-1 et seq.), any rules or regulations adopted by the Illinois liquor control commission, or any provision of this chapter have been or are being violated and, at such time, to examine the premises of such licensee in connection therewith.
