§ 30.03 ELECTION YEARS; TERMS OF COUNCIL MEMBERS.
   (A)   A municipal election to elect all five Town Council members and the Clerk Treasurer will be held in 2023.
   (B)   (1)   Beginning in 2024, elections for Town Council members shall be held in:
         (a)   Two thousand twenty-four (2024) and every four years thereafter; and
         (b)   Two thousand twenty-six (2026) and every four years thereafter.
      (2)   Beginning in 2026, elections for Clerk Treasurer will be held in 2026 and every four years thereafter.
   (C)   The three elected Town Council members, who receive the greatest number of votes in the 2023 municipal election, shall serve for a term of three years, beginning at noon on January 1, 2024. Their successors shall be elected at the 2026 general election, and every four years thereafter, and shall serve for a term of four years, beginning at noon on January 1 of the year immediately following the year in which they are elected.
   (D)   The two elected Town Council members, who receive the fewest number of votes in the 2023 municipal election, shall serve for a term of one year, beginning at noon on January 1, 2024. Their successors shall be elected at the 2024 general election and every four years thereafter and shall serve for a term of four years, beginning at noon on January 1 of the year immediately following the year in which they are elected.
   (E)   The Clerk Treasurer elected at the 2023 municipal election, shall serve for three years, beginning at noon on January 1, 2024. His or her successor shall be elected at the 2026 general election and every four years thereafter and shall serve for a term of four years beginning at noon on January 1 of the year immediately following the year in which he or she is elected.
   (F)   The town’s municipal primary elections and municipal elections shall be conducted by the County Election Board and/or Clerk. All candidates for all elected town offices shall be nominated in primary elections as provided in I.C. 3-8-5-2. The Town Council President is authorized and instructed to enter into all requisite agreements with the County Election Board and or Clerk for the county to conduct all town elections.
