For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CURRENT DRIVING LICENSE. Every class and kind of license or permit that evidences the privilege to operate a motor vehicle upon the highways of the state.
GOLF CART. A four-wheeled motor vehicle originally and specifically designed and intended to transport one or more individuals and golf clubs for the purpose of playing the game of golf on a golf course.
PROOF OF FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. Proof that a policy or policies of motor vehicle liability insurance have been obtained and are in full force and effect for liability that arises out of the ownership, maintenance, or use of a golf cart in the following amounts:
(1) $25,000 because of bodily injury to or death of any one person.
(2) $50,000 because of bodily injury to or death of two or more persons in any one accident.
(3) $10,000 because of injury to or destruction of property in any one accident.
PUBLIC HIGHWAY. A street, an alley, a road, a highway, or a thoroughfare in the state, including a privately owned business parking lot and drive that is used by the public or open to use by the public.
