§ 70.02 LOAD LIMITS.
   (A)   Except as provided in division (D) of this section or otherwise by applicable Indiana State Statutes, from and beginning on December 15 of each year through March 15 of the following year, no person shall operate or cause to be operated on any street within the corporate boundaries of the town any vehicle or combination of vehicles having a gross vehicle weight in excess of 20,000 pounds.
   (B)   Except as may otherwise be provided by applicable Indiana State Statutes, no person shall operate or cause to be operated, at any time, on any street within the corporate boundaries of the town a tractor, as that term is defined in I.C. 9-13-2-180, in combination with a semitrailer, as that term is defined in I.C. 9-13-2-164.
   (C)   Definitions.
      GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT or GROSS WEIGHT. The weight of a vehicle without load, plus the weight of any load on the vehicle.
   (D)   The restrictions imposed by this section shall not apply to school buses or trash collection trucks being operated in the normal course of business.
   (E)   A person who violates a restriction imposed under this section commits a Class C infraction.
