3-1-6: EXPIRATION; RENEWAL:
   A.   Term Of Registration: All business registration issued pursuant to this chapter shall expire on December 31 of each year.
   B.   Renewal: Any person or entity who engages in a business, trade or profession within the City, and who holds a business registration pursuant to this chapter, shall renew said registration on a form provided by the City and accompanied by the appropriate fee prior to January 31 of each year. No new application need be filed if the information required by this chapter, and which is in the possession of the City Clerk, is current. Upon receipt of the form and fee, the City Clerk shall endorse the business registration for the person or entity for the next calendar year.
   C.   Notice: The City Clerk shall cause notice of the required renewal and the appropriate fee, together with a renewal form, to be sent to each business no later than December 1 of each year to the business address listed in the City records. If a business registration is not renewed by January 31, the City Clerk shall cause a second notice of the required renewal and the appropriate fee, together with a renewal form, to be sent to such business. Provided, nothing herein shall relieve a business of renewing its business registration as required by this section, whether it receives any notice or not. Failure to renew a business registration in the time provided in the second notice shall result in a penalty fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) to be assessed and collected. (Ord. 573, 5-4-2015)
