The following words and phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the following meanings unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
COMMISSION: The historic preservation commission of the city.
HISTORIC PRESERVATION: The research, documentation, protection, restoration and rehabilitation of buildings, structures, objects, districts, areas and sites significant in the history, architecture, archaeology or culture of this state, its communities or the nation.
HISTORIC PROPERTY: Any building, structure, area or site that is significant in the history, architecture, archaeology or culture of this community, the state or the nation. (Ord. 475, 3-7-2005)
