9-1-6: MANUFACTURED HOME PLACEMENT PERMITS:
   A.   Placement of manufactured homes within the incorporated areas of the city shall require a manufactured home placement permit. To obtain a manufactured home placement permit for manufactured home placement, the applicant shall supply all site information required from an applicant seeking to build a single-family dwelling on a site. All manufactured homes shall meet the minimum standards as established by the "Idaho Manufactured Home Installation Standard", latest edition. The minimum live roof load (snow load) for manufactured housing shall be fifty (50) pounds per square foot. This live load requirement may be achieved by either:
      1.   Constructing the manufactured housing to meet the required live load, or
      2.   Constructing a protective roof cover to meet the live load requirements. Such protective roof cover shall be constructed in compliance with the standards adopted by the city herein and as the same may be subsequently amended or modified.
   B.   Protective roof covers for manufactured homes shall be constructed in accordance with the following standards:
      1.   For manufactured homes where the protective cover is not part of a porch or carport projection from the home, any supporting posts, if used, shall be set flush against the building. The same shall be made to appear as architectural projections of the building, and shall be clad in a similar type of siding as used on the building.
      2.   For manufactured homes where the protective cover is part of a porch or carport projection from the home, the supporting posts shall be clad in a similar type of siding as used on the building.
      3.   The protective cover shall be constructed using scissor type trusses and the edge of the cover shall not be set above the edge of the building roofline.
      4.   The ends and sides of the cover shall be sealed against the building. Any carport or porch projections of the cover shall have the underside of the trusses sealed with a siding similar to the type used on the building. (Ord. 490, 11-20-2006)
