The city hereby adopts the following building codes and standards, pursuant to Idaho Code 50-901 and 39-4116, as adapted in section 9-1-4 of this chapter, and shall enforce them with regard to all construction and development in the incorporated areas of the city. The following codes shall be deemed superseded by successive versions of such codes as they are adopted or approved by the Idaho building code board effective on the date any such codes are made effective by said Idaho building code board:
A. Building Code: The international building code, 2000 edition, as published by the International Code Council, as the same may be supplemented, including all rules promulgated by the Idaho building code board, to provide equivalency with the provisions of the Americans with disabilities act accessibility guidelines and the federal fair housing act accessibility guidelines.
B. Residential Code: The international residential code, 2000 edition, parts I - IV and part IX, as the same may be supplemented, as published by the International Code Council.
C. Energy Conservation: The international energy conservation code, 2000 edition, as the same may be supplemented, as published by the International Code Council.
D. Fire Code: The international fire code, 2000 edition, as the same may be supplemented, as published by the International Code Council.
E. Mechanical Code: The international mechanical code, 2000 edition, as the same may be supplemented, as published by the International Code Council.
F. HVAC Standards: The HVAC standards book, 1997 edition, part III, standard for installation of gas equipment in excess of 400,000 BTU/hr, as published by Inland Northwest Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Association.
G. Manufactured Home Installations: The Idaho manufactured home installation standards, 2003 edition, or any superseding update, as adopted by the state of Idaho.
H. Building Conservation: The uniform code for building conservation, 1994 edition, as published by the International Conference of Building Officials.
I. Life Safety: The life safety code, 1997 edition, as published by the National Fire Protection Association.
J. Dangerous Buildings: The uniform code for abatement of dangerous buildings, 1994 edition, as published by the International Conference of Building Officials. (Ord. 482, 6-5-2006)
