The mayor shall, with approval of the city council, appoint an individual, partnership, corporation or other business association or entity as the building official. The appointed building official is hereby empowered to enforce the provisions of this chapter and the building, mechanical, fire and life safety and other codes adopted pursuant to the provisions of this chapter, and such other ordinances and resolutions as directed by the mayor. All building code inspectors shall be certified as provided by Idaho Code. (Ord. 482, 6-5-2006)
