The city council may demand of any person a sworn statement of the purpose for which water is required, together with the number of rooms, hose connections, bathhouses, urinals, water closets, engines, boilers, stockyards, corrals, livery stables, stores and other purposes for which water is required, and also the number of horses or other animals to be supplied, and the number of vehicles to be washed. Any person refusing to make such sworn statement when required shall be refused a supply of water. (Prior code § 7-1-17)
