A. The police department shall enforce the provisions of this chapter. The department shall be equipped with the appropriate equipment for measuring sound levels, as provided in section 10.08.060 of this chapter, for purposes of enforcing this chapter.
B. Where a motor vehicle is deemed to be in violation of this chapter, the owner may transport it to a central testing location for further evaluation. If the vehicle is reevaluated and found not to be in violation of the decibel standards outlined in section 10.08.030 of this chapter, no further proceedings shall be instituted, and any citation issued shall be dismissed.
