9.76.010: DEFINITIONS:

As used in this chapter:

MASSAGE: A treatment given by one person upon another person where the first person manipulates the soft tissues of the second person by rubbing, stroking, kneading or tapping with the hand or by instrument and as may be further defined by the Utah massage licensing board.

MASSAGE ESTABLISHMENT: Any place where a masseur gives massages for hire.

MASSEUR: Any person who gives massages for hire; provided, that any person who is duly licensed by the state department of business regulation to practice the healing arts shall not be included within this definition. (Ord. 91-004, 1991)
