A. No person shall operate any food service establishment or a food or beverage vending machine within the city limits without first applying for and receiving an approved business license.
B. Business licenses for food service are issued by the city council, and will be reviewed quarterly before renewal. Before the council will approve or renew a business license application, the applicant must show evidence of a valid permit to operate issued by the local health office. Licenses may be issued on a conditional basis, as determined by the city council.
C. Operation permits issued by the health office are not transferable from one person to another person or place. The permit and business license shall be posted in every establishment.
D. The health officer's permit to operate and the business license are renewed concurrently each quarter. All demerit items of six (6) point value must be corrected before a renewal will be issued. (Ord. 1278-77, 1977)
