CERTIFICATE: A certificate of public convenience and necessity issued by the city authorizing the holder thereof to conduct taxicab/vehicles for hire businesses in the city.
PERSON: Means and includes an individual, a corporation or other legal entity, a partnership, and any incorporated association.
TAXICAB/VEHICLE FOR HIRE: A motor vehicle used in the transportation of passengers for hire over the public streets of the city, and not operated over a fixed route or upon a fixed schedule, but is subject to contract for hire by persons desiring special trips from one point to another.
