It is unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to sell or offer for sale, barter, or exchange at retail, any farm produce, vegetables, poultry, fish, fruits, nuts, medicines, or other goods, wares, merchandise or services, in the city without first obtaining a license from the city clerk, except as otherwise herein provided.
