Each violation of this chapter or of any regulation, order, or ruling promulgated hereunder shall constitute a misdemeanor and shall be punishable as established in section 1-4-1 of this code and each day a violation continues to exist shall constitute a separate offense. In addition, the political subdivisions adopting the regulations contained in this chapter or the joint airport zoning board may institute an action to prevent, restrain, correct or abate any violation of the act, or this chapter and its regulations or of any order or ruling made in connection with their administration or enforcement, in any court of competent jurisdiction.
