The requirements for the work allowed pursuant to the permit shall not be considered to have been complied with until the City shall have accepted the street, highway or alley, or any right of way or easement adjacent to any street, highway or alley as being in good condition. In the event that the person making the opening shall fail to leave the street, highway or alley, or any right of way or easement adjacent to any street, highway or alley, in a good state of repair, satisfactory to the City, thence the City shall call upon the person making the opening to pay for the cost of repairing such street, highway or alley, or any right of way or easement adjacent to any street, highway or alley. In the event the person making the opening fails to repair such street, highway or alley, or any right of way or easement adjacent to any street, highway or alley, the city may proceed to have the street, highway or alley, or any right of way or easement adjacent to any street, highway or alley, put in good condition, and may pursue all legal remedies available to the city for the collection of the costs of such repair against said person making the opening.
